Registration for Never Silent Ends May 1!

There is still time to register for WHI’s Never Silent: The Abolitionist forum on May 8-9. “Never Silent” will be held at the Crowne Plaza in Crystal City (1480 Crystal Drive, Arlington, VA 22202). Speakers include Dr. Kevin Bales, Dr. Wendy Freed, Christa Hayden (IJM), CJ Adams (Polaris Project) and Dr. Jo Anne Lyon.



Never Silent” will focus on WHI’s Assessment Center in Cambodia, while bringing in top experts who will present on: Demand, Prosecution, Aftercare and The Positive Role of Men in Addressing Human Trafficking.



It is a unique opportunity for those wanting to learn more, and are ready to engage and respond against Commercial Sexual Exploitation.

One Month to Go!

With only a month to go until the Forum things are start to buzz in the office. I am so excited for the speakers that are coming. Never Silent will truly be a unique forum.

Never Silent: The Abolitionist will provide relevant information on the anti-trafficking movement: addressing demand, prosecution, aftercare, caring for survivors, and what the average person can do to help. Bringing together specialists in the field with those ready to answer the call to care, WHI hopes to provide a weekend that goes beyond idea-sharing or information gathering, to engaging each person where they are and help them become well informed and mobilized abolitionists!

Niteline Interviews Dr Jo Anne Lyon

Dr. Jo Anne Lyon, Founder of World Hope International, an organization combating human trafficking around the world, will be interviewed by the Niteline Producer at WGGS – TV 16 Studio, Ms Rhonda Odom on Monday, February 16, 2009. The show is aired between the hours of 8:00 – 10:00 p.m. The interview with Dr. Lyon will start at 9:00 and continue until 10:00 p.m. She will be addressing questions pertaining to her work with those involved in human trafficking, where the demand comes from and what is being done to combat the human trafficking.
